Whether you're looking to relax or to have an energetic stay here in rural North Shropshire there are many local sites to explore and activities to enjoy, either lethargically or energetically.

We're right by Whixall Moss

Straddling the English border, near Whitchurch in Shropshire and Wrexham in Wales, lies one of the biggest and best raised bogs in Britain. Its astonishingly varied wildlife makes it a place of international importance. The Mosses are a rare habitat that’s home to incredible bio-diversity. From birds overhead to the smallest invertebrate on the peat, there are plants and animals that are adapted to the high acidic, low nutrient nature of the peat bog.  In fact, the bog mosses create new peat and store carbon as they grow and die back.
